Branding for an education and training program.

The Catalyst After School Program (Catalyst), is a joint venture between client  #TalkAboutBlack (founded by senior Black asset management professionals including Rachel Green and Gavin Lewis), local schools, The Corporation of the City of London, and the Chartered Institute For Securities & Investment.

Catalyst aims to provide ethnic minority and economically disadvantaged pupils with the aspiration, belief and tools to develop a career in the asset management industry.

Following a period of expansion, #TalkAboutBlack approached Bunbury Co, to design new branding for Catalyst.

The challenge:

To create a logo that would appeal to students, and reflect the aspirational ideals of the program.

Brand identity
Logo design

Transforming the education space.

Our design is a strong assertion of the concept of catalysts as change and reaction. Two dynamic arrows form a stylised ‘C’, and represent interaction, transformation and collaboration. The ‘C’ functions as an icon for smaller applications, like social and apps.

The mark has landscape and portrait versions, making it versatile across applications, and in conjunction with partner logos and the existing #TalkAboutBlack branding.
